Community Regional Medical Center is truly a regional academic medical center with the only burn and Level 1 Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento, a 56,000-square-foot emergency department that’s the largest in the state, leading edge technology and UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program faculty and residents practicing cutting-edge research here.

The goals of the Rehabilitation and Research Center at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals (MCVH) are to provide highly- skilled, interdisciplinary, inpatient rehabilitative care to adults with complex needs; to be an advocate and educator for patients and people with disabilities; and to conduct research to advance the art and science of rehabilitation.

Riverside Developmental Services provides individuals with a structured learning and work environment. Seagull gives hope through advocacy and a variety of educational, social, vocational and residential programs. These programs are designed to encourage self-reliance, achievement and economic independence.

Interesting topics, group-based learning and real-world experiences are the foundation of Search’s Adult Learning program. Consumers in the program “learn by doing,” with choices of hundreds of meaningful and fun group courses specially tailored to meet their needs.

Society for the Blind serves thousands of blind and visually impaired people throughout the Sacramento area and surrounding counties. We are the only center in this region that trains blind and low vision people on Braille, life skills, computers and job skills. Our mission is to empower individuals who are blind or have low vision to live productively and independently by building confidence through training, tools and mentorship.

Founded in 1894, UPMC McKeesport is a nonprofit acute care community hospital that serves the 200,000 residents of McKeesport and the surrounding area. The hospital offers 216 beds for acute care patients and 56 beds for patients who need skilled nursing care. Besides a separate Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Care Unit, the hospital offers ongoing rehabilitation and educational programs to patients with cardiac, neurologic, and orthopaedic diagnoses. A new, state-of-the-art emergency room opened in December of 1999.
