Early Intervention is a program that promotes the growth and development of infants and toddlers. Children who are under three years of age who have a developmental disability or delay in one or more areas may be eligible. Developmental disabilities or delays can affect a child’s speech, physical ability, or social skills.

SHORE’s mission is to improve the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities through educational, residential, vocational and related programs provided with community integrated supports and services.

BabyNet is South Carolina's interagency system of early intervention services for families who have infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, with developmental delays or conditions associated with developmental delays. Children may be eligible for BabyNet if they are learning or developing slowly. Eligible children are served regardless of family income or nationality

The Office of Exceptional Children ensures that all children with disabilities in the state have available a free and appropriate public education (FAPE), protects the rights of these children and their parents, and provides leadership to school districts and state-operated programs in the provision of appropriate special educational services.

The state of South Dakota participates in a federal program called the Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities (Part C). In South Dakota we call this program Birth to Three Connections. Special Kids & Families is a family-centered Early Intervention Program dedicated to helping children and families reach their full potential. Founded in 1986 by parents of children with developmental delays, Special Kids & Families has expanded to the unique abilities and challenges that all young children present.

The Arc of Alabama, Inc. is the state advocacy organization for people with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities and their families. The mission of the Utah Parent Center (UPC or Center) is to help parents help their children with disabilities to live included, productive lives as members of the community. We accomplish our mission by providing accurate information, empathetic peer support, valuable training, and effective advocacy based on the concept of parents helping parents.

Vermont Achievement Center, Inc., a 501(c) 3 charitable organization, has been serving children and families throughout the Rutland region and Vermont since 1937. VAC continues to offer innovative and responsive programs in special education, child care, early education, family social services and intervention, water safety and therapy, and so much more.

Implementation of these services in Vermont is through a family-centered coordinated system called the Family, Infant and Toddler Program of Vermont. The Agency of Human Services and the Vermont Department of Education share responsibility for implementation as co-lead agencies. The department’s special education consultants provide technical assistance to schools and other organizations to help ensure that schools understand and comply with federal and state laws and regulations related to providing special education services.
