Spina Bifida Association of Illinois
The Spina Bifida Association of Illinois® (SBA of IL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with Spina Bifida through direct services, information, referral, research, and public awareness. The SBA of IL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1969.
Summit Camp
Summit Camp provides a summer camp experience for boys and girls, ages 7-17, who have issues of attention. These may include Attention Deficit Disorder, verbal or non-verbal learning disabilities, mild social or emotional concerns, and/or Aspergers syndrome. Some of our campers may also have Tourrete's syndrome, O.C.D., and /or mild mood issues. Summit Travel works with older children, ages 15-19, who have similar issues.
Touch of Nature Environmental Center
Touch of Nature Environmental Center serves Southern Illinois University Carbondale as an outdoor laboratory for experiential learning, as a field site for research, and as a provider of therapeutic recreation, environmental education, outdoor adventure, personal and interpersonal development programs, and conference services.
Upward Bound Camp

The Purpose of Upward Bound Camp is to provide on-going Christian based recreational and educational camp experiences for persons with disabilities, twelve years of age and over in an environment that presents opportunities for growth outside the individual’s usual routine or habitat.

Wagon Road Camp

Wagon Road Camp has two heated outdoor swimming pools, athletic facilities for basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball and an adventure ropes course. We have indoor facilities for music, nature, cooking and dance, plus summer program areas for drama and arts & crafts. There are two riding rings for our horsemanship program. With our seven cabins and dining hall, we can continue programming on rainy days. The camp’s health center is air-conditioned and staffed by a registered nurse.

The mission of Wisconsin Badger Camp is to serve people with developmental disabilities by providing quality outdoor recreational experiences.Through a group living experience, campers develop friendships and expand their social skills. Everyone, regardless of the severity of their disability, are welcome at Badger Camp.
