Scuba Diving- Handicapped Scuba Association
FOUNDED IN 1981, THE HANDICAPPED SCUBA ASSOCIATION HAS DEDICATED ITSELF TO IMPROVING THE PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL WELL BEING OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH THE SPORT OF SCUBA DIVING, AND IN DOING SO HAS BECOME THE WORLDWIDE LEADING AUTHORITY IN THIS FIELD.
Seagull Industries for the Disabled
Seagull gives hope through advocacy and a variety of educational, social, vocational and residential programs. These programs are designed to encourage self-reliance, achievement and economic independence.
Sertoma Centre
Sertoma Centre, Inc., is a nationally accredited, not-for-profit agency that provides services to more than 650 individuals with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, and/or mental illness. These services include vocational evaluation, developmental training, community-based assessments, senior programming, work adjustment training, residential services, janitorial skill training, foster care, job placement services, supported employment, specialized services, school transition services, psychosocial rehabilitation,autism services, and a sheltered workshop program.

Skiing and other Sports- National Sports Center for the Disabled
Founded in 1970, the National Sports Center for the Disabled's mission is to positively impact the lives of people with any physical or mental challenge through quality adaptive recreation programs in over 20 sports. The NSCD’s impact on lives is direct, immediate and visible. Over 17,000 lessons were provided in 2006 alone.

Skiing- American Blind Skiing Foundation
ABSF was founded in 1971 and is a non-profit tax exempt (501-C3) national organization chartered in the State of Illinois. The purpose of ABSF is to provide an educational skiing program that is open to any blind or visually impaired person in the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value.
Skiing- Ski for Light, INC.
Ski for Light, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit, organization founded in 1975. The mission of the organization is to teach blind, visually- and mobility-impaired adults how to cross-country ski, in an atmosphere that encourages participants to realize that the only true limitations that they face because of their disability are the limitations that they place on themselves.
Soccer Ability League

Wheelchair softball was born 30 years ago in the Midwest by a few individuals with spinal cord injuries and lower extremity impairments, who still wanted to enjoy America's greatest pastime. These individuals needed to develop a way of playing without the full use of their legs that would allow easy maneuverability in a wheelchair and keep the fast pace of softball.

South Suburban Special Recreatin Association (SSSRA)
SSSRA is a therapeutic recreation program that is an extension of eight park districts and three recreation and parks departments. It is organized to provide individuals with disabilities or special needs, the opportunity to be involved in year-round recreation.
