Vincent House is a social and vocational recovery program for adults living with mental health illnesses. We are called a Clubhouse because we follow the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) Clubhouse Model. We are one of nearly 400 ICCD Clubhouses worldwide. Vincent House is the first three-year certified Clubhouse in the state of Florida and serves members living throughout Pinellas County. Currently, Florida has six ICCD Clubhouses.

We are a not-for-profit day program serving adults w/developmental disabilities in our seniors, developmental rehabilitation, vocational skills training I & II & work center programs. Individuals in these programs must have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation and/or other developmental disability and must be at least 18 years of age or older as well as day program funding. We offer dance, art & OT/PT therapies for individuals along with vocational training & community integration opportunities in these programs. All vocational work is paid by the piece. We also serve individuals w/any other documented disability (i.e. mental illness, physical disability, heart conditions, etc. that may keep an individual from working in mainstream employment. We term this “external clients.” External clients, however, are only offered working opportunities in the sewing program. External clients are also paid by the piece. Merrick is a nonprofit agency working to meet the employment, personal development and transportation needs of adults with developmental disabilities. Merrick, Inc., is licensed as a Day Training and Habilitation (DT&H), Supported Employment Services (SES), and Ticket to Work (TTW) provider by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Our primary goal is to provide meaningful vocational and social opportunities to the more than 350 clients in our program through positive partnerships within the business community.
