Mary M. Culley is a member of the Morris James Estates and Trusts and Tax Practice Groups. The primary focus of Mrs. Culley’s practice is estate planning and administration for Delaware and Pennsylvania clients and trust and estate litigation. Mrs. Culley also devotes a significant portion of her practice to planning for individuals with disabilities, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, and elder care law. Mrs. Culley was admitted to both the Delaware Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar in 1985. She is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College for Women, Notre Dame, Indiana (B.A., 1968), the Widener University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1984), and Temple University Graduate School (LL.M. in Taxation, 1988). Mrs. Culley is a member of the Delaware, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. She served as the Secretary of the Committee on the Law and the Elderly (1997-98), the Chair of the Estates and Trust Section (1994-95) and the Chair of the Women and the Law Section (1989-90) of the Delaware State Bar Association. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is the Secretary and member of the Board of Directors of Delaware Care Plan, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides trust and care services to individuals with disabilities. Mrs. Culley lectures often to professional and community groups on estate planning and probate, planning for families with special needs children, charitable giving, Medicaid planning and planning for the elderly. She was voted one of Delaware’s Top Lawyers in a survey by Delaware Today magazine (10/96, 11/99, 10/01).
